Sunrise.....

I start my blog with a image of the rising sun...taken at a lonely beach near Travindrum way back in Nov 2007 I think. Hoping my blogs also see the light of the day as the sun rises further and further.......

  1. My Wife introduced to me the creative expression of photography a few year ago. I have been fascinated by the beauty of the earth seen through the eyes of the camera. As I become more sensitive to the world around me, the more I actually “see.”

I see design, color, shapes, size, opportunity, and the ability to put aside preconceived ideas as to how something “should” be with new eyes. I am constantly surprised by the unexpected gifts that are given to me. The mystery of seeing in the digital screen, images that I had not focused on were present just from surveying the space before clicking the shutter release button. One such experience began as I stood on the top of Waarwan Valley in the time between night and sunrise. As I stood waiting, camera focused and ready pointed into the dark places that I thought would behold the sunrise, the wind began to blow. As time drew closer, the wind began to blow with more force. Just at the point between night and sunrise produced the greatest tension; the wind blew violently and the noise of the wind rushed across my ears and my equilibrium seemed to be effected. Then the light of day began. Just peaking up in the horizon, my camera began flashing. What a beauty to behold. The inspiration was not just in the picture captured by my camera. It was being in the presence of the birthing of the day. And as it is written that God said in the Bible "Let there be light."
wishing you open roads... endless miles of scenery... yonder to the far blue mountains... gushing streams... endless deserts... green pastures .... Blue skies ... the perfect and then again those not so perfect sunrises and sunsets ... Cheers to a great beginning ...
